Building more than a brand

From the start, we knew we wanted to build a community of people we could empower, and not just a brand without a soul.

So we brought our own game to a first-of-its-kind conference and gifted people free case coupons, tokens, and merch.

We announced that each one of our phone cases will include a digital collectible from the start. This collectible would open up the door for our partners to engage with holders like never before.

In hindsight, the process to get it was clumsy, but it worked and served as a prototype for what we're building today. And we also ended up making a lot of people smile with our gifts and support to the ecosystem, so it was a dream coming true.

The Launch

The moment we have been building towards for the past 8 months.

May 15th at 4 PM UTC, 2025.

In less than a day, more than 500 people decided to join the mission of protecting their Solana Mobile Seeker phones, and we received overwhelming support from the ecosystem.

It was a great launch for a startup of our size, but we knew right away that the real work had only just begun.

Little did the public know, we still had one more surprise up our sleeve.

SOLYD in Space

We sent a phone to space.

Yes, you read that right. Besides our launch, we worked incredibly hard to pull off the first-ever Solana blockchain transaction in space on a literal working phone.

This was a statement that traditional advertising is boring, everyone should break boundaries, and nothing is impossible. It was made possible by our amazing partners, BONK and Solflare.

Later, we auctioned 1 of 2 phones and cases that went into space, and donated a part of it to charity.

Spreading the gospel

Throughout the summer of 2025, we had keynotes at multiple conferences, including APEX Budapest and Startup Village Split.

But, this wasn't just about phone cases. It was about meeting face-to-face with you.

Strangers we didn't know before turned into friends as we connected during these events.

We met so many amazing people and formed so many lasting connections that we decided to double down on in real-life events and conferences (more about later).

SOLYD September

While connecting with people all over the world, we never stopped doing one thing: listening.

We listened to their wants, needs, problems, and dreams and took note of how we can better serve these amazing individuals.

This is how SOLYD September was born, with much more variety of cases than ever before, wider payment options, and faster shipping times.

It wasn't just an event; it was a movement in this fascinating group of Solana Mobile Seeker owners.

Delivering On our Promise

For us, December was the season of giving.

We launched our very own SOLYD Advent Calendar with over $10,000 of prizes in value. It was open for 24 days with daily prizes and available for everyone, but most of the days were exclusive to SOLYD case holders (we love you).

Between Dec 11-13, the Solana Breakpoint conference took place in Abu Dhabi. We brought a legendary magician with us to perform mindblowing tricks, levitate SOLYD cases, and even amaze Toly from Solana.

Never forgetting our roots, we took all of the lessons learned from failures and all the feedback from you, our one and only community.

With our iPhone cases SOLYD is now more than just protection. It’s a movement, that you are a part of as much as the core team.

The question is very simple: why would you have a boring phone case when you can have one that empowers its holders?

And of course we upgraded everything, but kept the spirit to keep the community in the epicentre of everything.
